MARK MEDEIROS, DC
MCR Chiropractic – Raynham and MCR Chiropractic – Somerset
Dr. Medeiros grew up in Attleboro and North Attleboro, MA. He attended the Community College of Rhode Island in Lincoln, RI and received an Associate in Science Degree in June 1986. He then continued his education at the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology in August 1988 and his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in April 1990. He also obtained a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician Certificate in April 1995.
Dr. Medeiros had asthma as a child which was not responding to medical treatment. His mother brought him to the family chiropractor who had taken care of members of her family for close to 30 years. The asthma subsided over a short period of time after he had received a series of chiropractic adjustments to his upper and mid back. He continued to receive chiropractic care through his teenage years to keep his spine healthy. These experiences left a long-lasting impression on him, and he thought it would be cool to become a chiropractor when he was a junior in high school.
Dr. Medeiros has been in practice for 34 years and has taken care of thousands of patients which have honed his adjusting skills, with cervical spine (neck) adjustments as an area of specialty. From 2005-2013, he worked in a busy medical center in Fall River, MA. He received many referrals from various primary care providers within the facility as they saw the value of chiropractic care which he provided to their patients with musculoskeletal spinal complaints. Dr. Medeiros also has extensive experience in the care and overall management of auto accidents and work injuries and helping to educate his patients on the nuances that come with insurance carriers and employers as it relates to these types of injuries.
Dr. Medeiros wants his patients to live their lives to the fullest and as a chiropractor, it brings him great joy to see his patients return to their favorite sports, activities, or everyday tasks they could not accomplish before. From seeing teenagers respond quickly to treatment and becoming patients into adulthood to resolve any issues that arise or to maintain their overall health, to the elderly patients who find great relief from their arthritic symptoms when they receive chiropractic care.
Dr. Medeiros currently resides in Providence, RI with his wife and two daughters. They especially enjoy the summertime and going to Scarborough Beach in Narragansett, RI as much as they can. He enjoys walking in his neighborhood every night after work and on the weekends and also enjoys classic action/adventure movies.
